Rubber Chicken Funnies was founded in 2005 by Steven Stwalley, a man who often likes to talk about himself in the third person, and who is not above hiding behind the "royal we" when talking only about himself. We do not condone this sort of behavior.

Stwalley is a founding member of The International Cartoonist Conspiracy, and runs the website for that group. Participating in the Conspiracy led Stwalley to collaborate with the group to publish a number of projects, including a box of mini-comics called Lutefisk Sushi, a collection of 24 Hour Comics and a number of collections of jam comics that the group produced.

The success of these projects made Stwalley decide to start pursuing publishing anthologies by cartoonists on subjects which amused him, and seeing what happened. Our first anthology, Weird Illustrated, is completed and will be available very soon.
